GFC gu12s Lift Labor Day Trophy. Three teams from Grasshopper Football Club competed in the gu12 division of this weekend's Berkshire Kick-Off Classic. With a tournament record of 5 wins and 1 loss, the GFC Black team became tournament champions and lifted the new club's first trophy!

In the group phase, GFC Black won 3 matches and lost 1 in a tight battle with PSC Roma, claiming enough points to move into the championship phase of the tournament. The semi-final match was taken convincingly, setting up a rematch against PSC Roma in the final. The GFC team, after cleaning up some earlier tactical issues, with clear belief and resolve, and in a true team effort, took the tournament with a 1-0 victory. The goal came late in the 2nd half from a well taken corner kick converted on a neat little side volley.
